Community Murals
Agua , 2020
On the Island of Tierra Bomba running water isn’t accessible. With the help of the local children, the support of the Foundation Amigos Del Mar, me and Colombian street artist Cvas Villalba set about painting a mural to depict this issue. The mural is one of many that will contribute to a graffiti tour. These tours are popular throughout Colombia as they a create source of Income that goes directly to the community whilst documenting their rich history along the way.
Paz A La Calle -
Peace for the Street
Sante Fe, Bogota, Colombia, 2019
Hosted by Lava Moa Tumba this mural was an effort to reappropriate proudly the streets of Sante Fé for the Trans community who work them. More thank 60 LGBT people were killed in Colombia in the first eight months of 2020. They often fear for their life and suffer regular prejudice which forces many into sex work.
Las.Callejeras are working directly with the community to fight for rights, support their welfare and help push towards a world where Trans people can live without fear.
Several art workshops were hosted during the completion of the mural that were open to everybody.
The Portrait features
Madre Martha Sanchez.

The pupils learned about endangered animals and took part in discussions on environmental issues. Focusing in particular on the negative impact humans have on surrounding wildlife.
In response to this they built and wrote a narrative concerning a Siberian Tiger living in the wild. Afterwards we painted a giant tiger to illustrate the story and recorded the pupils reading it allowed.
